The asterisk training sessions covers installation
and implementation of Asterisk PBX software.
Intended for persons that would like to
get up to speed quickly on using Asterisk PBX open-source software and voip.
This is an opportunity to get personal, hands on training from installing linux to configuring and utilizing Asterisk.
Participants should be technically minded.
This course will be taught in English, however, the instructor speaks Spanish.

Asterisk dialplan basics
Using Asterisk as an IVR
Setup an Auto Attendent
Connect IP phones as extensions
Connect to the PSTN via zaptel driver
Connect two asterisk boxes via SIP and IAX2
Connect to voip carriers, via SIP and IAX2
Using Asterisk applications and features:
Voicemail
ACD queue
Meetme
Record
Music on Hold
Blind transfers, Attended transfers
Advanced dialplan logic
Asterisk database functions
Findme/Followme
DND
Blacklist
Using Asterisk for outdialing
Asterisk code organization
Using TAR, SCP and FTP for backup of asterisk files
Asterisk diagnostics, system health and monit
using ethereal for network packet analysis

for over 28 years. He has been using and modifying both asterisk and SER for the last four years for a voip startup company.
